ACTS Association of Christian Teachers

“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.  Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."

Why is There a Need for ACTS?

During his campaign, Senator Prieto identified a pressing need for a unified body to represent Christian teachers who had expressed their willingness to support his political endeavors. The inception of this idea was prompted by warnings issued by a school superintendent during a special assembly. Teachers were advised to refrain from political affiliations or involvements in political campaigns, with a risk of potential lawsuits highlighted.

The establishment of The Association of Christian Teachers (ACTS) by Senator Dana Prieto and School Board Member Ms. E’lena Ashley is a testament to the commitment to fostering a supportive environment for Christian educators. The organization seeks to empower teachers to connect and collaborate, ultimately deciding the course and structure of ACTS based on their collective vision and needs. Ms. Ashley and Senator Prieto believed Gabe Woolly a teacher in Tulsa was the perfect person to move this from an idea to a reality.
